Homemade Granola

Ingredients :

500 g natural oats

100 g mixed nuts 

5Tbsp sunflower or canola oil

6 tbsp maple syrup 

3 tbsp peanut butter

200 ml alpro chocolate milk ( or regular skimmed chocolate milk)

2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

1/4 tsp salt

2 tsp cacao powder

40 g chocolate ( added once cooled off)


Instructions :

1) Chop the nuts into smaller pieces on a cutting board.

2) Preheat the oven to 140°C using the fan setting (adjust based on your oven), and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

3) In a pot, heat up sunflower oil over medium-high heat, and add the nuts. Keep stirring constantly for 3-4 minutes. Then, add 2 tbsp of peanut butter and let it cook for another 2 minutes.


4) Reduce the heat, and add the remaining ingredients to the pot (except the chocolate). Stir the mixture well for 3-4 minutes.

5) Spread your granola onto the lined baking sheet.

6) Bake the granola for 15 minutes at 140°C. After 15 minutes, stir the granola and let it bake for another 20 minutes (adjust depending on desired crunchiness).

7) Store the granola in an airtight jar at room temperature. Add the chocolate once it has cooled off.

8) Add 40g to your yogurt or milk and pair it with some fruit. Enjoy! 😊
